The idea behind this campaign is to come up with a fun, engaging social campaign to drive sign-ups and referrals and eventual traffic to physical stores and online store during the launch period. With the BFF as a theme - the tagging of friends, Black Friday Friendzy - Clarins is hoping to play up this angle in terms of tagline and overall campaign messaging.

We all love memes, so let’s use memes to drive excitement and hype for our upcoming Black Friday sales. Besides that, using a visual with very low brightness, we want to get our viewers to turn up the brightness for a special surprise - the lucky draw.

Overall Idea

We aim to kick off the BFF campaign with a subtle and intriguing approach through an Instagram Story that initially appears empty but gradually reveals itself with flickering neon lights and a suspenseful atmosphere. As working adults, the anticipation of Fridays often leads to enthusiastic exclamations of "T.G.I.F," especially among close friends. In line with this popular phrase, we introduce our own twist – "T.C.I.F.," serving as a reminder to our audience about our special Black Friday promotion. We all have those special friends who hold a special place in our hearts for various reasons. To engage our audience, we invite them to complete a template and tag their friends who best embody these different categories of "goodness."
